Education Foundations That Last a Lifetime.
BAREMI, Inc. is a US nonprofit committed to bring hope to Zambia by providing education for vulnerable children, empowering teachers, and modernizing schools.
BAREMI Inc., derives its name from the BAnja REstoration MIssion. In the local dialect language of Lusaka, Zambia (Nyanja), “banja” means “family.” The concept of family holds great significance in our mission, as we aim to support orphans and create a familial bond with them.
In Zambia, there are currently 1.3 million orphans who lack the necessary support and family structure to thrive. Many of them are forced to live on the streets and seek shelter under bridges to escape the cold nights. They rely on discarded food from trash bins for sustenance, and some are even forced into child labor.
